Introduction to label

A label (different from a label) is a piece of paper, plastic film, cloth, metal, or other material attached to a container or product, on which information or symbols about the product or item are written or printed. Information directly printed on containers or items can also be considered as labels.

Tags have many uses, including promotion and providing information about product sources, manufacturers (such as brand names), uses, safety, shelf life, and disposal, some or all of which may be subject to legislative jurisdiction.
